Recipient of 2015 TBSAA Grant Announced

The TBSAA Executive Council is proud to announce the recipient of the 2015 TBSAA Grant: Sarah Cox, alumna of the Epsilon Kappa chapter at UCLA.

Sarah works with the Harmony Project, a non-profit music education organization in Los Angeles. As part of her grant proposal, Sarah plans to use the grant funding to help The Music Library and Instrument Tune-Up program supporting over 200 students who associated with the Harmony Project. The grant will go toward purchasing new sheet music & scores and repairing old & damaged instruments.

The E.C. would like to thank all of the grant program applicants. The alumni of Tau Beta Sigma are doing amazing work supporting music programs across the country. Information about the 2017 TBSAA grant will be released next year. Congratulations Sarah!

TBS Alumni can now update personal information online!

Visit http://www.tbsalumni.org/update to learn about the Online Membership Reporting System (OMRS) and how you can use it to perpetually keep Tau Beta Sigma abreast of your contact information.

Every initiated member of Tau Beta Sigma has her or his own profile in our Online Membership & Reporting System (OMRS).  The basic member profile consists of the following components: contact information, membership information (current & past), and initiation dates & chapter member number. Many of you will notice in your past memberships that not every year of your membership is listed. This is due to limitations of the legacy database that was used from 1997-2012. That system only recorded current membership status and your date of initiation. The OMRS now tracks membership on an annual basis, but only had the information that was in the legacy system to start with. Over time, membership records will be updated in the OMRS based on the paper Chapter Personnel Reports and Officer Updates submitted by chapters.

If National Headquarters has a valid email address on file for you, you should have received login information for the OMRS. To login, visit online.kkytbs.org and use your email address as your user name. If a valid email address is not on file for you, you may complete the form at http://www.tbsalumni.org/update and National Headquarters staff will update your information and send you a link to establish your account in the OMRS.

NatCon Preview/Summer 15 Issue of The Rhapsody

The Summer 2015 edition of The Rhapsody, the official publication of the TBSAA, is now available online.  This issue has a special focus on previewing the 2015 National Convention in Lexington and introducing the candidates for the 2015-19 Executive Council members.

Current members of the TBSAA received a pdf version of The Rhapsody by email and the ISSUU online version can now be viewed at www.tbsalumni.org/the-rhapsody/

Submissions for The Rhapsody can be made at any time by emailing tbsaa@tbsigma.org.
