Local Alumni Associations

Local Alumni Associations (LAA), or organized local groups of alumni, are recognized by the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. LAAs may be based on chapter, college/university or geographic region, including districts.

To be recognized as an affiliated LAA of the TBSAA, the group must have a majority (50% + 1) of members who are in good standing with the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. Three of the LAA’s officers must be members of the TBSAA. Joint LAAs with alumni members of Kappa Kappa Psi must have a majority (50% + 1) of their Tau Beta Sigma alumni members who are members in good standing with the TBSAA.

Individuals may join an LAA and not be a dues paying member of the Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association. However, it is encouraged for all alumni and friends of an affiliate to also support the Association through membership.

Each LAA is required to renew their recognition annually, with the recognition year following the membership year of June 1 through May 31. Annual dues for LAAs are $50. An Annual Report is required to renew LAA recognition. If you or someone you know would like to start a local association of the TBSAA, email tbsaa@tbsigma.org to receive additional information.
